We are Totally Grateful to the wonderful band 'The Beat' for setting a precedent here at the Boat Inn and making history with us.

The Boat Inn hopes to host several outdoor gigs during the summer months each year and we will keep you posted as each artist/band is confirmed.

In an effort to promote rural events, if you would like to see more of them we encourage support in the form of e-mails to your local council, environmental dept.

LET THEM KNOW YOU WANT THIS!

THE BEAT AT THE BOAT

May 16th 2009 saw The legendary 80's Ska band The Beat come to Jackfield to perform their amazing music for a grateful and inspired crowd of locals from the Ironbridge Gorge.

Did we think this was possible, to be graced with the presence of a band of their calibre, no....but if you don't ask, you DEFINATELY dont get.

THANK YOU to The Beat and their fab manager for coming here and showing the world what can be achieved if you believe.

With the terrific success of this outdoor gig event we hope to have The Beat return to the Boat next summer and hopefully we can pick a rain free day, the mini Glastonbury for a day setting was great, it certainly added to the excitement that evening but Sunshine and Ska  just seem, well "Right"!

THE BEAT Gig on September 11th was a great night for The Boat Inn.  A Sellout outdoor concert with a good time being had by all. Thank you to The Beat and Rozalla for a great show and to Security and Staff for coping with the high demand that an event like this hosted in a Bijou Venue creates!
